Frequently Asked Questions

Got Questions?
We Have Answers.

Everything you need to know about K&P Remote wireless control systems -- from installation and customization to OEM partnerships and after-sales support.

Installation
Retrofit process, compatibility, and setup
Will installation damage or modify my existing machine?
No. K&P Remote systems are designed for non-destructive installation. In most cases, installation does not require modifications to the original hydraulic system, oil circuit, or electrical wiring. The original manual operation mode is also retained after installation, so you can switch back to manual control at any time.
How long does installation typically take?
Installation time varies depending on the machine type and configuration. For most standard retrofit applications -- such as truck-mounted cranes or excavators -- an experienced workshop technician can complete installation within a few hours. We provide wiring diagrams, installation guides, and technical support to help your team get up and running quickly.
What types of machinery are compatible with K&P Remote systems?
Our systems are compatible with over 500 machine models across a wide range of industries. Supported equipment includes:
  • Truck-mounted cranes, mobile cranes, and crawler cranes
  • Excavators and drilling rigs
  • Log grapples, harvesters, and forestry equipment
  • Aerial work platforms and special vehicles
  • Agricultural machinery, forging machines, and demolition equipment

If you're unsure about compatibility with your specific machine, contact our technical team with the machine model and we'll advise the right solution.

Do I need to replace my hydraulic system to use your remote controls?
No. Our wireless remote control systems are designed to work with your existing hydraulic setup. You do not need to rebuild or replace the hydraulic control system. The retrofit approach adds wireless capability without disrupting the machine's core hydraulic architecture, keeping your investment costs low.
Do you provide installation support or on-site commissioning?
Yes. We provide wiring diagrams, installation manuals, and remote technical support via video call or messaging for all customers. For OEM partners and large projects, we can arrange on-site commissioning assistance or factory-level integration support. Contact our team to discuss your specific requirements.
Not sure if your machine is compatible?

Send us your machine model and we'll confirm compatibility and recommend the right system -- usually within 24 hours.

Ask a Technical Question
Customization
Custom buttons, channels, functions, and configurations
Can I customize the button layout and control functions?
Yes. K&P Remote offers full customization of button layouts, control channels, joystick configurations, and operational functions to match your specific machine requirements. Whether you need a simple two-channel setup or a complex multi-function proportional controller, our engineering team can design and produce it.
What communication protocols do your systems support?
Our systems support standard proportional hydraulic control outputs as well as digital communication interfaces including CAN bus and RS485. These protocols allow integration with modern machine control systems, PLCs, and automation platforms. Custom communication logic can also be developed for specific OEM integration projects.
Can you match a specific machine brand or model configuration?
Yes. We develop machine-specific configurations for major crane, excavator, drilling rig, and special vehicle brands. If you provide us with the machine brand, model, and hydraulic valve specifications, our technical team will recommend or develop a matching remote control configuration to ensure proper proportional response and compatibility.
Do you offer both wireless and wired electronic throttle systems?
Yes. K&P Remote manufactures both wireless and wired electronic throttle systems. These can be integrated into the remote control package or supplied as standalone components. Throttle systems are available for various engine types and can be customized for specific RPM ranges and control response curves.
What is the minimum order quantity for custom products?
MOQ varies depending on the degree of customization. For standard products with minor configuration changes, low MOQs are available. For fully custom designs with unique housings, PCB layouts, or firmware, higher MOQs may apply. Contact our sales team to discuss your project scope and we will provide a clear MOQ and lead time estimate.
OEM / ODM Partnership
Private label, custom development, and manufacturer programs
What does your OEM / ODM program include?
Our OEM/ODM program provides end-to-end support including:
  • Private label branding -- your logo, colors, and product identity
  • Custom hardware design -- button layout, housing, connector types
  • Firmware customization -- control logic, safety parameters, communication protocols
  • Engineering documentation -- wiring diagrams, integration manuals, BOM
  • Batch production -- flexible order volumes with consistent quality
Can you apply our brand logo and colors to the remote controller?
Yes. Private label branding is a core part of our OEM service. We can print or engrave your brand logo on the controller housing, apply custom color finishes, and include your brand identity on packaging and documentation. This allows you to sell the product under your own brand without any K&P Remote markings.
Are your products suitable for overseas distributors and importers?
Yes. K&P Remote currently serves customers in 30+ countries. Our products are export-ready with CE certification, English technical documentation, and packaging suitable for international shipping. We support overseas importers and regional distributors with competitive pricing, OEM/ODM flexibility, batch supply, and dedicated English-language technical support.
How does the OEM development process work?
The typical OEM development process follows these steps:
  1. 1 Requirements discussion -- you share machine specs, control requirements, and branding needs
  2. 2 Technical proposal -- our engineers prepare a solution with specifications and pricing
  3. 3 Sample development -- prototype production and testing for your approval
  4. 4 Mass production -- batch manufacturing with quality inspection and delivery

After-Sales Support
Warranty, repairs, spare parts, and technical assistance
What warranty do your products come with?
All K&P Remote products come with a standard warranty covering manufacturing defects and component failures under normal operating conditions. Warranty terms are included with each product and can be extended for OEM and volume orders. Our after-sales team handles warranty claims promptly -- typically responding within 24 hours.
How do I get technical support if there's a problem?
You can reach our technical support team via email or WhatsApp. For installation issues, signal problems, or configuration questions, we provide remote assistance through video calls, photos, and step-by-step troubleshooting guides. Our English-language technical support is available to assist international customers with diagnostics and repairs.
Are spare parts and replacement components available?
Yes. We maintain stock of spare parts and replacement components for all current product lines, including transmitters, receivers, joystick modules, buttons, connectors, batteries, and chargers. Spare parts can be ordered separately and shipped internationally. For distributors and workshops, we recommend maintaining a small spare parts inventory for faster field service.
What happens if a unit fails in the field?
If a unit fails in the field, the machine automatically returns to manual operation mode -- ensuring no work stoppage. Contact our support team with the unit's model number and a description of the issue. We will guide you through remote diagnostics and, if necessary, arrange a replacement unit or spare parts shipment. Most common field issues can be resolved remotely within one business day.
Do you provide training for workshops and operators?
Yes. We provide installation and operation training for repair workshops, distributors, and end users. Training resources include detailed manuals, video tutorials, and live remote sessions via video call. For large-scale deployments or OEM partners, we can arrange factory visits or dedicated training programs for your technical team.
